BOSS Safety proudly provides kitchen suppression system service and inspection for restaurants and commercial kitchens. As part of our comprehensive fire protection capabilities, we help customers consolidate their safety needs with one trusted provider, delivering compliant, comprehensive, and reliable protection where it matters most.
Why Kitchen Fire Suppression Matters
Commercial kitchens carry some of the highest risks for fire due to high heat, grease, and cooking oil buildup. An effective restaurant fire suppression system ensures a fire can be quickly controlled, protecting:
- Employees & kitchen staff
- Cooking equipment & appliances
- Business operations & assets
Regular kitchen suppression maintenance is essential to keep your system ready to automatically extinguish fires and shut off fuel sources. Proper inspections help ensure that your fire suppression system works effectively and optimally.
Required Kitchen Fire Suppression Inspections
According to NFPA 96, to remain compliant, restaurant kitchen hood fire suppression systems must be inspected every six months by a licensed fire protection company. Our certified and trained technicians carry a Fire Protection Certification that certifies them to perform service and maintenance on Pre-Engineered restaurant fire suppression systems. Our technicians are trained to inspect Ansul (R102 and Auto Fry), Amerex, Pyro-chem, Protex, Kidde, Range Guard, and Buckeye systems.
During these inspections, our certified technicians verify that:
- The system will activate during a fire
- The extinguishing agent will be properly released
- Gas and electric power will shut down to the affected appliances and equipment
BOSS Safety provides fully certified kitchen fire suppression inspection services to meet these requirements and keep your business protected.
